AbstractWe encountered a 65-year-old Japanese woman with systemic sclerosis (SSc) of the diffuse cutaneous type complicated by autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA), whose chief complaints were shortness of breath and palpitation. Since the complication of AIHA with SSc is known to be rare (less than 20 cases in the literature), we reported this case for further study of the association of SSc with AIHA by accumulating data from similar cases.
